| Description: The Technical Support Analyst will have an understanding of Messaging Systems with knowledge on the support of the MS Outlook product and as such will be responsible for the resolution of support incidents and requests escalated to the department. The Analyst will attempt to resolve the incident or request call using available knowledge of processes and solutions. Each incident or request will be logged, along with its final resolution. The Analyst will determine the appropriate escalation to the personnel in the Global E-Mail Support Organization for all unresolved incidents or requests. On occasion, when problems dictate, front-end development skills will be called into use to update the interface. The department Technical Support Analysts will also be responsible for developing and sending communications to support groups and users regarding e-mail related issues, along with coordinating communications between the various Global E-Mail Operations, Support, and Engineering groups. Analyzing and accepting requests from first-level support groups and insuring they are created as tickets in Remedy Analyzing and accepting requests for assistance regarding user or system incidents/problems from support groups and insuring they are created as tickets in Remedy Completion of requests based on available documented processes or solutions such as:· Add/Change/Delete User Ids & Accounts· Add/Change/Delete Distribution Lists· Add/Change/Delete Personal Folders Resolution of problem/incident tickets based on available documented processes or solutions Communicating resolved incidents or requests to the submitter and documenting the solution in Remedy Escalating unresolved system problems to the Global E-Mail Operations group through Remedy Developing and communicating new: policy information, FAQs, and e-tips to first-level support groups and users Communicating downtime or any urgent changes to the e-mail environment to first-level support groups, users, and the rest of the Global E-Mail Support Organization using established resources such as pager lists, distribution lists and website status screen. Administer and maintain the Global E-Mail Organization Website Collecting data for, and developing reports on, service levels of the department Center and the first-level support groups Collecting operational level statistics from internal information gathering mechanisms and reporting them to the Global E-Mail Operations group | |

Migration engineering, project participation, Server monitoring/management using products like NetIQ, CIM, Inlook, Dell OpenManage. Message flow design and architecture, candidate must be an expert in; planning Directory Replication, Public folder Replication, Site and X.400 connectors, Notes/CC:Mail connectors, Internet mail relay, Sendmail/Solaris, and Exchange 2000.
