TECHWORKING: Infinity Consulting Group LLC
Monday, January 13, 2003; Page E05
Infinity Consulting Group LLC plans to fill about 13 positions locally and 30 nationally in the next month. Larry Letow, vice president, talked with The Post's Kate Wichmann.
What does your company do?
We supply management services and IT consulting to our clients. It's important to us that our clients share in the projects; we don't take over. We supply IT consultants or take on the full management of our client's company-wide consultants.
What would employees of your company say were the best reasons for working there?
The atmosphere is great. The reason why I love it here is that it's fun. You can yell and scream at people and know that you'll still love each other when it's over. We have social and sporting events. We allow for meetings where part of the meeting is laughing. We're all striving for the same goal. There is a team approach here; it is important for the whole company to be successful.
Who owns your company?
The CEO is Lou Forino, who started his first company while he was in college. This original company then grew and evolved to become what Infinity is today. Our president is Adam Fox, who started as a sales representative to a tech company and ended up as president. Later he started his own IT consulting company, which was merged with Infinity this past December.
What sense of stability can your company offer job candidates?
The only stability nowadays is that you're treated honestly, communicated with properly and given a chance to prove yourself beyond others.
What are the demographics of your company?
Our average age is about 28. We have about 35 to 40 percent women and about 20 percent minority. Our executive team is nine people, two of whom are female and two minority.
What positions do you have available and what level of expertise do you want?
All of the following positions are for mid-level and senior positions: two SQL developers, one MS-Active Directory engineer, two Citrix engineers, one .Net/SharePoint consultant, one OS engineer, one WebSphere programmer, one implementation engineer, two user-support technicians, one programming consultant, and one VOIP specialist.
